| | | | Brought to you by: | | | | | Monday, June 5, 2023 | If you've been paying attention to these introductions – and, believe me, no one's judging you if you haven't – you've likely gathered by now that I'm a bit of a storyteller. These things can't be helped. I come from a long line of storytellers who, like me, sometimes struggle to get to the point. So let's cut right to the chase: I've been thinking a lot lately about how generative AI will impact storytelling. Sure, I'd like to think that no machine can replace my (or my family's) penchant for wild gesticulating and long-winded tale-telling. And I'd like to think that it can't create stories the way we do as a result of, you know, living. I'll admit: There is a time and a place for such storytelling – and there's a time and a place for getting to the point. And that's where I think about generative AI perhaps playing one of its better roles, especially when it comes to brand storytelling. But one story I want to highlight today is the story of ChatGPT: the character, as it were, that arguably set us down this path in the first place. And Kristi Hines has helped us better understand that story with a timeline of the major events since it became available to the public. Now, onto the other stories you may have missed: - If you haven't had a chance to try Bluesky Social, Kristi Hines takes us on a tour here.
- A recent study found that TikTok outperforms Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts in certain metrics. Matt Southern breaks it all down here.

Yours, once or twice upon a time, AZW Generative AI, News By Kristi Hines At the end of 2022, OpenAI introduced the world to ChatGPT. Since its launch, ChatGPT hasn't shown significant signs of slowing down in developing new features or maintaining worldwide user interest. Continue reading the history of ChatGPT with a timeline of developments, from OpenAI's earliest papers on generative models to acquiring 100 million users and 200 plugins. By utilizing Smart Bidding strategies and dynamically adapting ad creatives, these campaigns help advertisers reach a wider audience and boost the results obtained from traditional, single-channel campaigns. But their high dependence on A.I. doesn't mean these are set-it-and-forget-it campaigns. With these 11 tips to optimize your Performance Max campaigns, you can expect better results while also benefiting from the time savings promised by automated campaign types. There are many more tips I didn't cover here that you can discover by joining the dialogue online. And there will be many more tips to come as P.P.C. automation continues to evolve. | | | Generative AI, News By Kristi Hines Want to ask questions about a piece of content? Here is the length of input you can submit to generative AI chatbots by OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google. OpenA.I's standard G.P.T.-4 model offers 8,000 context tokens, whereas the extended context-length model offers 32,000 tokens / 25,000 words of input. The input box for the prompt on Bing A.I. chat shows 0/4000, suggesting it only accepts up to 4,000 characters. However, the chatbot accepted 40,400 characters text and accurately counted that it was a total of 6,000 words. Google Bard accepts up to 10,000 characters. Claude-instant-100k accepts - three times more input than the best G.P.T.-4 model. But how well can they follow directions? | | | Generative AI, News, Snapchat, Social Media By Kristi Hines Snapchat My A.I. can now send and receive Snaps, demonstrating its image processing capabilities. As it adds an extra layer of complexity when building your website, it's recommended to implement hydration, static rendering, or server-side rendering instead. Dynamic rendering exists to correct web pages that don't show up on search engine results pages, but we'd always recommend server-side rendering. After all, it's easier to maintain with only one version of a website and more time-efficient as you don't have to verify if the versions for users and Googlebot are identical. Once you've weighed up your development resources and technology capabilities, look for opportunities to switch to server-side rendering, so all user agents receive the same content. | | | News, Wix By Roger Montti Wix is a popular website builder that helps businesses easily create high performance websites that are up to the minute with the latest technical requirements.
